Short description: VBR Sound is an immersive soundscape developed in collaboration with VBR Playground

Project description:

VBR Sounds is a project being developed in collaboration with VBR Playground. VBR Playground is working on the world’s fastest remote-controlled sim-racing system. The system is used to control model cars of various designs. Through the system, drivers can feel real-world G-forces. VBR is currently presenting the concept at various trade shows. From a sound engineering perspective, the system works as follows: A microphone is built into the model car, which records the sound while driving. This sound is played back directly through a soundbar. VBR Sounds is designed to further enhance the product’s immersion. The goal of the project is to create a soundscape that makes a real racing cockpit audible and tangible. The audio recordings from the model car are incorporated into the soundscape as an additional layer. This creates a symbiosis of virtual sounds that adapt to the racing action and real audio recordings coming directly from the racetrack.
