Short description: A Data Visualization Escape Room for Critical AI Literacy.

Project description:

With the rapid advancement of generative AI, distinguishing real information from fakes has become increasingly difficult. This creates a need for data literacy and critical thinking. "Resistance Not Found" is an educational escape room designed to teach data visualization literacy and critical thinking skills to students aged 16–18. The experience is set in a dystopian future where AI has taken control of the world, flooding the internet with AI-generated content to suppress authentic human interaction. Participants take on the role of individuals with a fondness for antique technology, searching for the hidden human resistance. The puzzles begin with AI-generated spam that where players learn to detect fake data. Players then solve graph interpretation and challenges that reveal clues, progress the narrative, and ultimately guide them toward the hidden human resistance.
